Show me how Ted Thompson, GM of the Green Bay Packers, is a bad drafter?

There is a lot of talk out there about how lame TT is because he doesn't engage in free agency very seriously and that he can't draft worth a darn. I still believe in the guy, but am willing to entertain an argument with evidence. Show me a list of where he ranks on the draft with players starting/ still in the league vs other GMs. I don't want just the one off arm chair GM'ing of "Harrell is a bust 'nuff said" or "he could have drafted X" I am looking for something more empirical, every GM drafts some duds, I want to see where he ranks. Does anyone have access to such data?
 
2008- Eddie Royal was available but chose Jordy Nelson
2006- A.J. Hawk was a great pick
2005- Jason Campbell was Available but chose Aaron Rodgers which is turning out to be really good.

But he was terrible in his Seattle days at drafting.
 
I don't know much about football, but I like the way you phrase the question. With all the lame crap on here it is good to see someone willing to argue their point. I'm sorry I can't argue this one.
 
Alright...too answer your question: we can't...okay fine he's a good drafter, we will give YOU that (even though he's not) the problem is that ted Thompson can only do the draft and nothing else....your question is the wrong question b/c people aren't complying about his draft "stats" its about "him being a GM" He sleeps during FA....wat i would do is 1 big name each year, and then go to the draft, wat he does is 1 small name each year, and then in the draft he gets the best available even if its an unnecessary position...that's 1 reason why he is bad. #2 Brett Favre Dilemma...If it's not broke why fix it? (aka BRETT FAVRE)...enough said with that quote....y did he drop Jon Ryan? HE had a problem with him...do u see wats going on here? its all about him, that's y everyone hates him...HE IS SELFISH.....he WANTS TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF...no one cares about him at the draft.....its about him as a person...Brett favre, Jon ran, FA, draft.....oh back to Jon Ryan....he picks up a crappy P to replace him, i mean was that drop of Ryan necessary for the PACK....no...was Ryan a bad person NO....he was a good punter and HE didn't like him....so he hurt the pack by dropping him....I'll go and say TT is the best drafter alive...I don't care!!!!!!!! its about wat ELSE HE DOES........HE CAN"T DRAFT (THAT'S UR QUESTION)....im not answering it b/c the real question is why is ted Thompson is a bad A GM...SELF CENTERED

He probably could have handled the Farve situation better, but I think he ultimately made the right decision in trading him. Rodgers had a good year and might have optioned out of his contract had Farve stayed. The only thing I know about Thompson's drafting was that he had a good 2006 draft with AJ Hawk, Greg Jennings, and Johnny Jolly.
