...class families? I hear a good deal of chatter these days about balancing the budget. Given the expensive stimulus and bailout packages, combined with increasing overseas trade deficit, should we not take steps towards balancing the budget? I propose an income tax hike on all families making less than 100K of about 15%. Given that there are proposed tax hikes on top earners making over 250k, and an additional millionaires tax on the horizon, there may be a very real shortage of high earners to tax. I think it is time that we need to face the grim reality that everyone must pay. If nothing is done now, runaway inflation will make our current problems seem rather trifling.
