There is still debate over what caused the current financial crisis, but the idea that adding liquidity to the market will solve the problem is flawed. The real problem was excessive speculation, resulting in far over-valued assets. This is a natural part of the business cycle, but there are ways we can limit speculative bubbles so they don't crash the entire world economy. Are there any good ideas for how we can keep bubbles under control?
