Of the 20 necessary amino acids, the human body cannot synthesize 8 of them. Would it be considered unethical to engineer the genes for these 8 amino acids into in vitro baby's so they (and their future offspring) could make all 20 required amino acids in their body. Might that lead to a healthier human population without directly affecting the essence of their humanity?
