Should we be afraid of Solar storms?

Lately on yahoo there have been reports about solar storms and it will be another one soon in 2013 this time it will be dangerous, do you agree or disagree if so explain why, should we be afraid? To me personally I wouldn't think nothing afraid is gonna happen. Scientist can answer as well
