I was at a college campus and this isn't high school where teachers are supposed to be baby their students and tell them what to do and this one instructor thought he had authority over me and I didn't even know him. He does not teach me in any of his classes so therefore, I don't even have him as an instructor. He just works there. So today, I was walking in the hallway and I went to the bathroom and I saw him in the bathroom taking a leak and I was texting my one friend while my class took a break and he looked over and said: "HEY! SHOULDN'T YOU BE IN CLASS?!" And I told him: "I'm actually on my break." And he looked at me goofy and said like he didn't believe me: "hmm hmm give me your phone!" and I said: "you got to be kidding, right?" and he said: "No Im not, give me it. Im taking it away from you." Then I listened to him because I thought he had authority and said: "Ok" and he went over to the front receiptionist desk and he said: "You will get that back after your class. Now get to class." So I told my instructor what happened and he agreed with me that the teacher should have minded his own business because I was on break time and I wasn't his student.
This one instructor always tells me what to do and every time I walk past his classroom, he thinks I am disruptive and he walks over and says: "GET TO CLASS NOW!" And he slams the door and treats me like this all the time.
Is this right of him? Did he have a right to but in my business while I was texting or have authority of me to take away my phone with giving it to the receptionist to hold on to?
