Should there be a presidential debate whereby the candidates faces were not seen

and their voices distorted ? Only that of shadows ,standing.
They would still answer questions and define their platforms.
Then at the end-their true selves would be revealed.

It just seems to me that the prejudices over the heads of both candidates really muddies up the water of the truth as to who these guys are and how they think.
 
I really like your question and the thinking behind it. We all know that Richard Nixon won the televised debate with John F. Kennedy for those who listened to the debate over the radio, but for those who saw the debate on TV, Kennedy won. Why? Kennedy was more attractive. Nixon was smarter.

On the other hand, voters gather much information from visual cues. A candidate can give off visual cues to dishonest, meanness, or a bad temper.

I think that the best candidate, in this day and age, must learn to be comfortable in his or her own body. Though Hillary is not a great beauty, she developed so much comfort with herself throughout the campaign, and you could see that in televised images of her, that that resulted in better numbers for her, and worse for Obama, as the campaign went on.

Too bad we can't cancel out those early votes in Iowa.
