and free the Venezuelan people? I mean how long are we gonna put up with Chavez? Even the King of Spain told him to shut up!

Of course not, Venezuela is a sovereign nation. Many countries have no wish to kowtow to the U. S. Because the U. S. doesn't like a leader is no reason to invade them. Why doesn't the U. S. invade China? Probably because they'd get their butts kicked. Make love not war should be the watch word.

You mean the same way we have "saved the world economies" by invading Iraq? and you are talking about "Freeing" the venezuelan people from what? themselves? they are the ones who have voted in Hugo Chavez in 7 elections either directly or indirectly...the most recent being him 64 percent of the vote...

by your logic, you should be praying that for some country to "Free the world's economies" by invading the USA, since much of the world could use america's farmland and water supplies (like water and agricultural starved AFrica) and also save the world from the fact that the US, with only 5 percent of the worlds population uses 25 percent of all the world's energy

And save us from Bush who was elected with 51 percent of the vote and has a 25 percent approval rating....

I am being facetious about invading the USA, just to show how ridiculous your Venezulea analysis sounds...in the real world...

Wait until you free the afghan and the iraqi folks first, once the americans are done there, talk about freeing more people!!

Chavez is a clown and a fool and everyone knows it. We receive his fuel already through Citgo gas stations. We don't need to invade.
What we need to do is COMPLETELY ignore him. His game is to destabilize the region so as to keep the price of oil high. If oil goes down to under 70.00 a barrel once more, he will be losing money pumping it. So we ignore him and let him make an ass of himself for his own benefit.
One step at a time he is digging his own grave. Several months ago he took over the last free paper in his nation. He has flouted his own countries election laws, and now he is assembling troops on Columbia's border. His days are numbered without the US having to lift a finger.
However, if we want rid of him forever, start using our own coal. We can turn coal to oil for less than $60.00 a barrel. That would put a final nail in his coffin as well as keeping our money within our own nation.

That's old news.

As for invasion? No. The people of Venezuela spoke at the polls when they basically told him to 'shut up'.

shure why not, that worked out so well in iraq... it is this kind of imperialist thinking that is driving this country down

None of our damm business what chavez does in his country. When will America stop trying to force their ways into the throats of other nations? If the Venezuelan people want their freedom they will fight for it in due time we don't need to get involved.
