Should the past lovers of your lover be discussed?

your in a relationship---you know your partner was in several relationships---should you ask about their relationships---should you ask about "any if any" one night stands"
 
except you're a virgin or haven't been in any relationship...leave the past where it belongs.
 
You definately should. Mostly everyone lies about how many partners they have been with, but if you are involved sexually, their past sexual relationships, as well as yours, should be discussed because it can affect you.
 
i think yes, but then again no...

so i think if it is really serious relationship, you should, but always keep in mind people makes mistakes in the past, and the past can be undone...

its good to be open, and i would believe yes you should know...

i don't want to find it out one day on my own. at least i know then and doesn't hear rumours of a 'bad past' cuz usually when stuff like thats gets into the open, it gets nasty....
 
Generally speaking No because its in the past so most of the specifics are not your concern.

But

If you are planning to have sex then YES, ask about STD and HIV testing and past Pregnancies etc. Not about so how did you meet or whatever.
 
you should both just get tested, asking about one night stands is just too private.
