I'm sixteen and I go to a public school system, and every now and then I come across a teacher who just loves spreading his/her faith to students in trying to teach them the greatness of Christianity. The worst case I had was when my Chemistry teacher openly announced to the class that there was no way we could be created without the influence of an all-powerful god. Of course, since nearly everyone in my school is a Christian, nobody really stands up against bold statements like these (I tried once, but I found it's better to just keep my mouth shut and not endure the ridiculous claims that I will be going to Hell).
Personally, I think that when a teacher talks like this it's just as bad as them claiming, "African Americans are genetically inferior to whites because there are a lot more of them in poverty." That's a biased opinion, and religion works in the same way. I think that teachers should be held to much higher standards, and that macro-evolution should be taught in public school systems so that everyone gets a fair chance to understand the world around them.
