I think they make good TV's, not cameras.
yeah I don't get why Canon entered the optometry business.

When I was playing with a Sony I couldn't help but see, feel and hear the similarities it had to the first Discman I got in 1993. Like they used the same machines. It's always a risk that kinda "field companies" (the field of electronics, Motors, GE, GM...) will stick their head in where it don't belong. Nikon grosses 6 billion on mostly cameras as far as I can tell. Canon does 32 billion on Cameras, newspaper archives, microscopes, scanners, cop machines, fax machines and on and on. Lomo was a military company, Olympus was only medical imaging.

If nature, biological science and 24 years on earth have taught me anything (which they haven't) it's that you can come and go, but if you don't have a place you will just die out. If these guys suck at making cameras, they just won't sell. If they rock it, they may have to drop TV manufacturing to make time for making cameras. I'll get a thumbs down for this next one but it's certainly possible any or all of those can overtake Canon and Nikon at any time. A good invention, a crappy manager a nice fire and who knows what can happen. Business and the jungle run on the same principles.
