Should one change education for 'fun'?

What I mean to ask is,is it more appropriate to choose a field much easier to complete than the current one because you do not feel passionate about the current one?Even if the one you've chosen already has huge payoffs later?
 
I'm wondering the same thing. I'm majoring in Art right now because it's what I enjoy doing but I always excelled in science and economics in high school. So I guess we'll see what happens
