Should Obama cast a wave of terror and punishment on the ancestors of the Confederates?

They still pride their confederate ancestors that believed in the most grotesque forms of racial oppression ever known to humanity. They hate Obama and would sabotage this country rather than see him succeed. Should Obama and the true Americans take care of this problem and also set a precedent for the new moral standing of this country?

No. Mr. Obama has a lot more class than the GOP. The modern apologists of the Confederacy are in the wrong and always will be, but despite their stubborn love for a failed rebellion in order to keep slaves, the sins of the fathers cannot be revisited upon the great, great, great, great grandchildren.

Just never let them rise again. South Carolina is bad enough under that pathetic excuse of a politician Sanford.

BTW, US Grant (a Republican) did NOT own slaves, but rather his wife's family were said to own some. That's not clear, but Shelby Foote, probably the best Southern historian of his time, said so in The Civil War Ken Burns documentary, and I respect his work. Furthermore, Lee's family did own slaves, although Lee himself was opposed to slavery and the family slaves were eventually freed.

wow, you sure are naive. the most grotesque forms of racial oppression are still going on today in other countries. You might want to sit down and actually think for a change instead of just talking.

I see you took your idiot pill this morning..
Study history and you will see how stupid your question is...
