Should men and women be prevented from mingling?

Personally, I believe that men and women should be prevented from mingling with each other, as that causes fornication, lewdness and other such leachery: Women must be kept pure so that they remain virgins for their husbands, otherwise they're no good.

Why do you think women who are not virgins are no good? Does the same apply to men? After your wife has sex with you, will that mean she is no good?

Habib , If men and women were to be kept apart then how would you know which one to pick for marrying ??? In this part of the world we call your " mingling " dating. it gives you a chance to get to know one another and decide who you like the best. How else can this be done ? Women are not like going to the store and picking out a goat. They have feelings and interests. Get to know some , they can be quite pleasant. Some of them downright fun to be with.
 
No, this is not Saudi Arabia, which is the brilliance of this Western culture people spend time knocking. It can change. It has potential. Radical Islam can never change and is only compatible with itself, as it makes no room for any other set of ideas. No wonder people snap over there in Saudi Arabia.
 
If that is what your culture believes, fine. But MY culture seriously disagrees.

I am all for pre-martial sex. I'm not saying it's okay to whore around, but I think sexual compatibility is important in a relationship. It would really suck to marry someone and find out their penis is too small to satisfy or too large and sex is painful and horrible.

Sex aside, I think men and women should get to know each other before they land a life long commitment. And mingling is the way to get that done.

Go back to your culture and do things your way, and leave us to ours.

I think you are taking things out of context. Mingling and having sex are two different things. According to this definition I have provided, it means talking and coming into contact. It doesn't mean sexually. Secondly if you stop the opposite sex from mingling or communicating, then how are they supposed to make it to the alter in terms of marriage? I do agree that men and women should establish certain boundaries to remain virgins until they get married. That is just what God requires. However, I don't think we need to completely separate ourselves from the opposite sex. Its ok to talk, and have contact as long as things don't get too physical in the relationship where it leads to pre-marital sex. I'm a Christian myself and I believe in the sanctity of the marriage bed. So I applaud you for wanting to remain a virgin until marriage. Its so un-heard of. However don't take things out of context.
 
I don't know if men would like that. They like sex, especially before marriage. They dont like paying for it, but they will. If all women stopped having sex, there would be no prostitution, no porn either, then men would have to get married just to sleep with a woman. He wont like that. Men like u prefer to have experience and then sleep with a virgin, so she wont know if ur bad or good. But if ur a virgin too, then u'll be just as inexperienced as her, and that wont make u happy. Plus, if prostitution is gone, thats a job eliminated, and one more thing not stimulating the economy.

OH, ppl have this thing called self control. I know many women who choose to use it, and many men who don't. Sex is a biological need, if u want it bad enough, u'll get it, even if it's not allowed in any way shape or form. There was a time in history when men and women fornicated, but it was with themselves, or their relatives. But now, since there's mingling, atleast the genepool can be a bit varied, and due to birth control, sex can be experimental and fun while u sample different folks. This is more oppurtunity for the folks who want to indulge. More oppurtunity for ppl to have a moral compass and see where it points so then they can judge as wheather or not to follow it.

God gave u a brain, and knowledge, and ur own moral compass, insted of blaming all, just use what god gave u and let that lead u, instead of trying to control all else.

I don't know what country in which you think this should be law....but keep your laws the hell out of mine (USA)!

If YOU want to live like that....YOU can. But you have no right to force your views on others....not in MY country!!!!!!!!!

Besides, I've read in several sources that in countries where this is the custom, it is very common for the men to find sexual release in the arms of other men......especially adolescent men. We, here in the USA, happen to believe pedophilia is wrong.
