Should I wait to see if my crush talks to me first?

I usually start the conversation on facebook, and I was wondering if I should wait to see if she talks to me first though. I know that girls like it when guys start the convo, but boys like it too and I want that to happen. So should I start it or her? I wanna talk to her so badly...
