Should I use the same car as a daily driver and project car?

Ok here's the deal I have a 1994 honda civic that I would like to build for speed. I currently drive my honda as a daily driver but I'm wondering if i should purchase another car as a daily driver and park the honda up while I rebuild it? Or just work on the honda peace by peace while I drive it every day
 
As a practical matter you can't use a project car as a daily driver. You always need to get another tool or a different part when you're in the middle of a project, and you use your daily driver to go get them.
