should i use spray paint or painted markers to design my griptape?

i decided cutting it out is just TOO complicated and i dont wanna buy new tape in order to do this
SO spray paint or markers
i think markers maybey cause i can add better details and spray paint is like a blurr
so where could i get these paint markers? no answers like your local art shop cause that common sense i need a name like micheals or something i dunno
it'll need to by like waterproof
