Should I use Scotch tape to hang photos on my walls?

I have 300+ pictures that I want to hang on the walls in my room. Should I use scotch tape? Or will that leave residue on the walls. Any other ideas that are cheap and easy would be much appreciated!

Tape is fine so long as you don't put it on the picture part, but when you pull it off of your pictures, don't be surprised when it rips some of your pictures. If you don't mind, no problem. I would use the tacky putty stuff that that looks like gum that you put a little on the back of the picture and it will stick to the wall.
