Should I upgrade my Droid Eris to Android 2.1?

I've heard a lot of people had issues. Not with the process, but with the way the software runs afterward. Crashes, slow connections, slow response, massive battery drain, etc.

Anyone think all this is worth the added features, or simply not had a problem?
 
I just upgraded mine to 2.1 yesterday.
It doesn't lag barely at all.
The only problem i have is the messaging.
The typing gets slow sometimes and the text prediction
can't really catch up.
But if you have a task killer it'll run smooth.
 
Some Erises definitely have problems after the update, and need to be wiped, but not all of them.. The navigation is a great feature to get, and if the phone does have problems, wiping it always fixes it, so I do think it's worth it.. All your stuff is backed up to Gmail, so you can get it all back..
