i have written for a very long time and was wondering if i should try to become a published poet. Some examples of my work are as follows

1) You’ve got me up at the last hour
The one and the two are so alone
Trying to fight my willpower
There’s so much tension within this home
You always leave my heart aching
Shattered beyond repair
There is no point in faking
To a point that none compare
The darkness inside this room
Is inviting at the most
I’m going to give in soon
There are demons amongst the host
So many memories to conceal
Their story not worth sharing
Hiding what I feel
You have no point in caring
There is no brighter side
I’m the thorn upon the rose
Maybe it’s time to defeat your pride
Is that how the story goes?
You will always be my pain
A thing I never forget
Never to go back again
My one and only regret
So aslong as I find a cause
As holding you a friend
There is a tight close
On a love that is pretend

2) See this rage it burns for you,
After all the things you put me through.
My heart has been locked away,
Ever since that awful day.
The chains around it let no one in,
It blocks out all love there could have been.
My love for you it’s all gone,
Ever since my heart was torn.
I’ve heard no bliss, nor any glee,
Since that final kiss you left me.
The mark you left it cuts me deep,
It’s a burden of the secrets I must keep.
The feeling come to me over again,
The feelings of that haunting pain.
My heart and brain are so confused,
After the love that you abused.
I have forever locked my heart away,
So never shall I feel that way.
The memories I shall forever hold,
No matter how new or old.
I am cursed with many memories of that game,
The pain caused by those who I cannot name.
Oh how much I hate that place,
It brings me memories of that evil face.
The many scars across my soul
Are beginning to take their toll.
I doubt I will ever love again,
But I will forever have friends.

3)
Loneliness
Is that abandoned star
that people view from afar
it is the dark of the night sky
it is the reason people hate to die
but to the people alone it isn’t fair
to see the others sit and stare
loneliness is like that last goodbye
relieving you of one last sigh
but a lonely man will lay in bed
fighting with memories he thought were dead
the tears fall from his face
plopping has they fall in place
but never mess with a lonely man's heart
for it holds all the times he was torn apart

-opinions are dearly needed, as i want to know whether i should be putting my time into this
