well the Saturn is a good car all around but Saturn maybe discontinued but you can still get parts from them gm will continue to make parts for these cars as long as they are around i would replace the PCM it would be costly but worth it Saturns last for a very long time and a non gm dealer could do it but i wouldn't trust a person to because it is basically the heart of your car. Hope This Helps

I have a 2005 Saturn Ion 2 with about 120,000 miles on it, and it looks like I need to do a pretty big repair (new PCM computer module, about $1,000). Saturn's out of business, so future repairs could get pricy and complex. I still owe about $4k on it, but the Edmunds trade-in value is only about $2,500. Money's tight for me, and I don't have thousands on hand. If you were in this situation, would you just do the fix, keep the car and hope it lasts til it's paid off, or would you try to just trade it in and see if you could just attach the remainder of the loan to a new loan? It's a GMAC loan, so would a non-GM dealer be able to do something like that? Any advice would be great!
