Should I take the scholarship to the camp despite all the things that are going on?

Okay, so, for the whole month of December their is a art camp up in Washington. It's very selective and it opens a lot of opportunities for university in different art degrees. I submitted my art work and I ended up getting a full scholarship. All I have to pay for is air and a dorm and the art camp pays for the rest. Now, my problem is, I'm going to miss all December of school because I am only fifteen years old. I discussed the matter with my teachers and they said they would give me the months work but, I'm not sure if I could handle missing all of the curriculum. Also, I would miss Christmas and my family is in a broken state so I'm not sure if I could do that either. I would miss both of my close friends birthdays too. Now, like I said this camp is a large opportunity for me. I could get a scholar ship to university and actually enjoy what I do in life for a change.

What is your opinion on what I should do?
