Here is my situation: I am currently a senior in high school who just recently concluded that I want to major in political science and minor in History. I really wish I had realized this two years ago so I could have taken AP World History, AP US History. I actually wanted to enroll in the AP Government class but was denied because the class was too full
. I have always know though that you do not need to take the course to take the exam...I am currently taking only AP Psychology and originally I planned to buy the Princeton Review guide for AP Psych and AP Spanish because I originally planned to take those tests in May. It then occurred to me that I can buy the Princeton Review guides for AP Gov, AP US History, AP Psych, and AP Spanish. It is currently late December and I can study a little bit of each, each day until May.
My question is if this is a good idea or not? The benefit is obvious, having college credit in United States History and Government and Policies is a great advantage heading into college, it will save me loads of time and money when I major in Political Science and minor in History. However, I am also afraid that I may be taking TOO MANY AP exams and that studying too much for too many tests, even in a 5 month period, will exhaust my learning capability and end up not passing any test. What is the best course of action?
