...Rosetta Stone? i really want to learn japanese so i can talk to my cousins who live in japan, so i want to know if live classes are better or rosetta stone also if any of you have tried other japanese language programs or websites tell me those to.

No website or computer program can replace a teacher. Teachers explain grammar to you, correct you when you're wrong, teach you the different nuances between words, and make sure you stay on the right track. Websites and computer programs do not. They merely waste your time and your money.

The reality is that to learn a language we need to do a number of different things.

Classes will only cover a little, so we should also do a lot of study in our own time, which includes using software like Rosetta stone. Though it is a little over rated.

Basically, buy a book, use software, make Japanese friends, and do a course.

It all adds up. Learning a language is not difficult, it just takes a long time.
