Should i take art class or band in sixth grade?

i signed up for band and got the saxophone but when we went to go rent the instrument it was $60 per month and my mom wasn't sure of renting cause we can barley afford it so im thinking of switching out of band to art but im not that good at drawing but i would like to try it so do you think i should do art. And P.S is art class boring i go to Draper intermediate school in wylie
 
Well if it's boring make it interesting! Go for art. Or just buy an instrument so you don't have to deal with the rental fees.
 
When i was about your age i played the saxophone but didn't like it but you might i would try renting the cheapest saxophones and tryint band if you don't like you can try art another year its never to late

Check the local adds for instruments usually this time around ppl are posting them i got my saxophone for 350 but it was 12
So do what you think you will like best
 
art can be really fun because it's about creativity and you meet some nice people as well as in band but in an artsy environment, and it's easy credit btw, on the other hand band gives a lot of community service hours which is free 2 A's if you plan to go practice a lot and it's a good group experience... I took art for 4 years it was allright, band is good too but yeah that rent sounds meh..
 
It sounds like you have no choice but to go to art class, otherwise, I would suggest band.

And it depends on your teacher. Don't worry so much about being good, as opposed to being expressive in your case. Try your best, make it something you'll enjoy and like to look at.
