Should I switch to Verizon, I'm on T-mobile now and I'm not happy with their service?

So I;m on a family plan with t-mobile, me my mom and sister, and me and my sisters phones have been acting really stupid lately. Also, we don't get service! My sister is in college and she really only gets service in one place! And I only get around 1-2 bars. I have the MOTOROLA KRZR ( I think that's what its called) and both my mom and sister have the shadow. Right now my phone is acting really dumb, it wont turn on after I took the battery out 10 times, and it had full battery. Also, Ive only had my phone for about a year ( we are on the 2 year contract) and my keyboard is very damaged. We defiantly want to switch to Verizon. But we would have to cancel, and I think its like 200$ to cancel if your contract isn't up...but should we have to pay 200$ to cancel if we are not happy with their service? What do you think? And if your on Verizon, are you happy with their plans? And we would want unlimited texting, and maybe call? Thanks
