Should I stay at home and go to community college or a 4 year that I got accepted to ?

I live in California and in high school I didn't do that great in school my last two years so none of the CSU's would accept me so the choice of going to a 4 year college was dropped. I graduated this year (2010) and still haven't started school so I'm a semester behind everyone. Anyways, I got accepted to a university in west Virginia. It's a small college (6,000 students) and in a very small town. The college is very nice though and all my family thinks I'd like it. 6 members of my family have graduated from there.

Okay so my dilemma about going is that it's SO far away.. It's across the country and in such a small town . The distance makes me very nervous but I feel pressured by everyone to go. The idea of living in a dorm and getting the full college experience I thought I'd never get to have, is very exciting. But I think of the distance and it scares me. What if I don't like it? It's a HUGE move out of my comfort zone... I do have a lot of family in that area who would support me but I'm not that close with them..

I really don't know what to do :( any advice would be appreciated.

Also my mom wants to eventually move to the same town the college is in (shepherd university) . But she wouldn't be able to till spring or next fall. So another possibility is I could just take classes at the community college here then start there in a few months. Id feel much more comfortable knowing my mom is right in that town
