SHOULD I SEND HIM THE TEXT message or NOTTTTTTTTTT???

I usually text message this guy every Christmas & he always replies & says thank you & he is always very polite to me & he gets happy. We know each other well, since he knows my family and I know his family & we always see each other at church & sometimes we hangout afterwards with friends & he even tried to pay for me & my sister’s dinner & he even tried to give me a lift home. He even told my cousin that I make him feel “sinful” & giggled about it. But lately, he can’t even be around me for long & he can’t even talk with me for long since his so awkward & shy around me & that never happened before, he can’t even look into my eyes but he tries to be a man & shield his feeling & that just recently been happing. & I always found him looking at me but he doesn’t make it obvious. but the thing is, he never texts messages me 1st & well now I’m wondering if I shouldn’t say anything this year & just ignore him because I don’t want him to think I’m irritating him and well I just don't get why he can't message me 1st Im not sure what he wants?.what do you think? Should I wish him a merry Christmas or not because I won’t be seeing him since I will be with my family on that day
