My 1996 Ford Contour was in two accidents with me. One has a crack in the front left bumper and cracked the headlight. The second accident I avoided hitting someone and slid on grass and ended up on two wheels and landed on top of a Boulder type rock. That bent back my radiator behind the frame that held it there. It has not leaked for over a year now. Just damaged. Also, my check engine light is on, and has been before both of those accidents and when I got the car. It is sending back 4 codes. One is bank 2, one is bank 1 sensors, and then a catalyst code. A mechanic had told me last year after running tests that it was the Catalytic Converter. (the car has 3 of them!) It is the one the comes off of the Manifold and is about a $700 dollar part not including labor. I also, dropped 400 in it for 2 new directional tires w/ rotors cut and brake pads. I replaced the fuel pump 600 bucks. And, Now I am faced with, Do i MAKE THE REPAIRS, or do I try to sell it. If I sell it, HOW MUCH should I ask? Its the 96 ford contour LX V6.
Did I add that it also needs front and rear Struts, possible CV joint..Not really sure if that is what I also hear...
