I have been out of town for almost 2 months. When I returned home I check my mail only to find a Notice of Hearing that I had been served by mail on June 10th, to appear for a court date June 24th. I had no knowledge of the court date, do I have a FTA warrant our for my arrest? Do I need to talk to a lawyer or should I call the magistrate tomorrow and ask for details. The claim is filed against me for Criminal Trespass. There are people claiming to have eye-witnessed myself tearing up a yard and causing damage in my SUV. I was out-of-state when the notice was served and can prove this on paper. Do I need a lawyer?
