i bent over toget something out of the fridge and heard a loud crack inmy lower back and severe pain shot through my lower area i m having severe pain and minor difficulty going to the toilet its almost immpossible for me to get up from sitting and the pain increases with sitting down

If your pain is severe or if it lasts more than a week, go see your primary care physician. The can do an exam and tests, if necessary, and get you pointed in the right direction.

Welcome to board Gracie,

Brendaks has some good advice. You didn't mention any history of lower back problems, but try putting heat on and take some kind of anti-inflammatory for a couple of days, if you can take them.

Does the pain in your lower area radiate around to the front? Be sure you move real slow and take the necessary time you need to see how this goes. I would say if your symptoms don't improve, or worsen, so that you can't bear to move in a couple of days, get to that dr sooner if you can. Hope you have supports in the bathroom to left yourself up and down so no further accidents from this.

Hope others can post here with some help as to that cracking noise,
choc

My doctor always says go to ER if any problems with bowels or bladder. since that is a symptom I would see someone now, but if that symptom goes away, what the others have said. x

Hi,

Most definitely you should see a doctor right away, espeically if you are having any problems going to the bathroom. I personally think it should be urgent. You might have a large disk herniation, which can certainly happen just by bending over. I know, because it's happened to me before.
