5 days ago, my chest started hurting. The pain is felt in the middle of my chest and becomes worse when I breathe in. Sometimes I can feel it constantly, other times only when I breathe in deeply. I would describe it as mild pain. I have tried Advil, extra strength Zantac, and Tums, so I do not believe that it is heartburn. It began suddenly when I was under great stress. It feels sharp sometimes, other times like a dull ache. Once or twice I have felt a squeezing sensation on the left side of my chest. The pain that I feel from breathing in deeply has been constant for the past 5 days, but it has been mild. I don't have a primary care doctor, so it is difficult for me to obtain medical advice without going to an urgent care facility. Based off of my symptoms, is it necessary for me to see a doctor? Or am I just being paranoid?
