I just early voted and while filling out the ballot I noticed that a position for River Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor was uncontested. I understand that in my state there are two requirements to run as a write-in candidate: 1) notify the Secretary of State, 2) post a legal ad in a local newspaper. It is not my specific area of expertise but I did take and get a 4.0 in Environmental and Physical Geology, and I have two degrees (Chemistry and Communication). Should I make the effort?
