This is a sales job. I've been there for a few years, but I could get fired in a few weeks if I dont get my sales numbers up. I have been actively looking for a new sales job for a few months, but I still cant find the right opportunity. At first, I wanted to quit on my own terms and not get fired. With the chance of me getting fired in a few weeks, part of me wants to get fired to draw unemployment checks. Finances arent great between my wife and I and things could get really bad if I dont have some income coming in. On the flip side, prospective employers may ask me if I was fired from my previous job, and I think if I say yes to that question it could hurt my chances for a new position. Should I resign before I get fired, or should I allow myself to get fired to draw unemployment benefits? I have been working hard to get my sales numbers up but so far it has not been enough.

you can not draw unemployment if you get fired for reason....failure to produce is reason...your best bet is to fall at work and grab your back....just kidding of course..good luck

well if you get fired you get a weeks pay of work well the week you where suppose to get paid so get fired on the first day of the week lol if you quit you can have them as a resource later on your choice.

if finances are really an option, then opt to get fired to get the unemployment checks. however, if you and your family can handle the temp lack of income, then i'd say to quit on your own and find a job asap.
