about a week ago my van started heating up so i took out the thermostat because ive had problems with it before so i took it out replaced it and it still heated up so i ended taking it out and running it without the thermostat but it still heats up. im curious to know if its the water pump because when it heats up i notice that it heats a little then it cools down little by little and sometimes when it gets too hot like it almost gets to the red line i notice that it will begin to cool down by itself slowly and little by little as if its only pumping the coolant through sometimes. so i would like to konw if it would be the waterpump because its not the thermostat because it doesnt have one on but it will be replaced the radiator is clean and its been flushed about a month ago so its just that it heats up sometimes and sometimes it will cool itself down little by little and sometimes it wont cool itself down
please help me its a 98 dodge grandcaravan 3.3l
the radiator is clean it currently dosent have a thermostat but like i said once its fixed it will be replaced
