so im a 23 year old who just finished her orthodontic treatment. my ortho says my braces are ready to come off but that i should extract my two wisdom teeth before removing the braces so that the incoming teeth don't mess up my newly straightened teeth. however, i don't currently have health insurance and cannot afford to have the surgery done. i am also sick and tired of being ashamed of smiling with braces on and would LOVE to just get rid of my braces. can i go ahead and just remove the braces? and think about wisdom teeth extraction after?
should i remove braces before extracting my wisdom teeth?
