I am a newly aspiring screenwriter, and hope to finish the first draft of a movie script soon. I've done a lot of researching online, but have not really found an answer to my current question.
I have found sites with good reviews where you send your script and they give you notes and feedback on it.
I'm wondering then, should I register the first draft before sending it out for feedback? I'm sure I will need a ton of changes since I'm new to this, and would I then need to register each revised copy of the script?
I've been reading that you should register your final draft, but how does someone send out their script for review and suggested improvements from others without running a major risk of it being ripped off? I'm really concerned about this.
Also, I'm a Canadian citizen and am wondering if you think it would be best to register in Canada as well as with the U.S. and the Writers Guild of America?
