should i really be fishing when its thunderstorming?

No, it can be very dangerous because fishing rods are tall enough to attract the lightning and water also make lightnings stronger and if you're in the water during thunderstorms, you'll get struck by lightning.

depends on if its lightening or not. A light drizzle beleive it or not is a great time to catch fish. I have caught many fish in the rain. If it's really storming then no it probably wouldn't be a good idea to be near the water.

Not unless you are on a suicide mission! Being in a boat or around water is one of the most dangerous places to be when there is a storm.

I will put it in very simple terms for you.
Makes no difference if you are fishing for the bank or on a boat; do you like swinging a possible lighting rod in the air?
If your answer is yes...go fishing during a thunder storm.
If your answer is no...stay home or do something else.
