I have an 85 Z28 that has a 400 SBC with a 700r4 racing trans. The drivetrain is set, but this spring I will be working on the suspension. Any thoughts on which direction I should go? If it helps, I am trying to keep the car as street as possible, and avoid going down the "drag car" route. A few specs:
400 chevy small block bored .30 over (to essentially a 406)
700r4 with adjusted TV cable
750cfm Edelbrock carb with electric choke
dual 1" core alum radiator with electric fans
new master cylinder and break booster
HO alternator
2.02 S/R torquer heads machined
performer intake manifold with air gap
and a bunch of other odds and ends...
Thoughts?
Also, I am considering whether or not to use a Detroit Locker, or keep it an open differential....Maybe posi? It's got the stock rear end right now, which has a 3.08 gear that I'm terrified will burn up with the power I am making right now. Tell me what you think!?!?
Yep, I've got the right brackets.
Also, .490 Comp Cam with .327 lift...1800 stall...
