Should i purchase a Canon Vixia HF S10 or a Panasonic HDC-TM700K?

Should i purchase a Canon Vixia HF S10 or a Panasonic HDC-TM700K? I film skateboarding, so i want a camcorder that gives a clear picture and steady motion. Im mostly concerned on which one will give a better picture quality. I know the Panasonic shoots in 60p while the Canon shoots in 60i, but is there really a difference? I also do enjoy Canon's larger lens size of 58mm. Tell me what you think is better to purchase.
