Should i Play the tenor saxophone?

In music we were asked to pick an instrument and me and some other kid in my class are the only ones who can play the tenor saxophone
I heard its big but i dont mind carrying it home
But if i wanna be in band i have to get an A
I can try really hard and practice alot at home do you think i would be OK to play it
BTW- Im 5'6 and 11 years old
