I have decided to remodel my parents bathroom before I move out of state so they can put their house on the market in the next couple of years. I'm putting a new counter, sink, light fixture in, etc. I am also going to paint the bathroom.
I have been removing wallpaper the last few days and I know why the previous owners wanted it wallpapered. Where the heater is located in the bathroom, it was in an enclosed closet that has plywood for one wall panel.
My question is, can I just plaster and sand the plywood panel to make it have the consistency of the other dry wall around the bathroom?
If that is not possible, what are some other possibilities? I want to avoid putting up sheet rock in that area at all possible too. Any comments would be appreciated!
