Should I paint, or outline first?

I'm drawing a picture, then painting it. But it needs to be outlined in sharpie, but before I paint or after?

depends on what paint you're using. watercolor: you can do it either way. Acrylic: after if you want it to be really visible. Before if you want it to be translucent. Oil: after.

draw it lightly in pencil, paint it, and then go over with sharpie. with water color if you do it first it might smeat and with acryllic or oil you wont see it
