If money is not an issue, there's no reason really not to. Though, you might wait until Vista's first major update is released, so you can be sure all the bugs and security loopholes are taken care of.
 
Why do you want the 64bit version? Unless you have a specific reason, I'd stick with the 32bit. There are a lot of program incompatibilities in any 64bit version of Windows.
