Should I lift and run more often for basketball?

I currently lift and run about 4 times per week for basketball, in addition I play often, and do plyometric and ab workouts twice a week.

I noticed that my vertical is increasing and so is the range on my jumper.

I was wondering whether or not I should increase the frequency of running and lifting to maybe 6 or 7 times per week, or will this simply lead to burnout because my muscles never get a chance to rest.

Lifting that often would not be a good thing. You should really only lift 3-4 days per week because your body needs at least a day inbetween, sometimes 2 days, to rebuild muscle. If you are constantly lifting you will not see any gains because the muscle will not have time to grow.

Running is pretty much the same thing but you can probably do it a little more often than you life, say 4-5 times per week.

My coach had us alternate...YOu can run everyday, do push ups and sit ups and things of that sort everyday, those exercises dont overwork your muscles.... But as far as Plyo's, lifting and all that, alternate everyday... One day you work on your upper body (lifting), the next day you work on your lower body (plyo's) You need a time for your muscles to rest and then heal so that you can get the most out of your workouts instead of just damaging your muscles... Also, drink fluids, especially water....And try to avoid ankle weights

i'm sure you can do it, but you might want to plan it out

talk to a nutritionist and personal trainer though for professional advice rather than random people on yahoo
