I JUST brought my cat home from being neutered. The lady said he didn't need a cone since he was a cat. I'm a very paranoid individual so I don't want anything to happen to him, is it okay if he licks the wound? He isn't biting at it or anything just cleaning himself, but I can't watch him 24/7 since I have work. Will he be okay licking it?? Also should I lock him out of my room so he doesn't jump onto my bed? Should I keep him from jumping onto the couches?!? Should I clean his wound with a wet towel?? I told the lady this was my first time taking care of an animal that has had surgery but she just told me how to give him pain meds, nothing about how to actually care for the animal!
