The laptop I currently have now gets the job done in one way or another. But unfortunately, it has become more and more incapable with its 3 years of use.
Here is a list of the "problems":
(FYI all of them are NON-FIXABLE except for the battery which is 60$. Even if I buy a new one , the life is less than 2 hours)
CD drive does not read...(I rarely use CD's, but when I need to use one I NEED one)
Battery life unplugged is about 10 minutes (Biggest issue since I'm a full-time college student)
Trackpad has become overly sensitive ( not to mention its smoothed away by oily fingers)
Integrated webcam does not work (nonfixable)
160 GB in hardrive with 50 free space.
But here is why I'm thinking of keeping it...
New laptop is quite an investment (I'm near broke)
MS Office is another $100 for a new laptop (My old product key is already used up in three comps)
I do have the money, but is it practical to buy a new laptop?
Or should I wait for the holidays?
