I'm currently a senior in high school. I want to go to school for environmental engineering, or environmental studies.
For my first year of college I'm just gonna go to a community college. Then after that I'm planning on transferring to the local university.
I haven't been involved in much during high school because I'm soooo busy. This summer I want to start getting involved in more activities, particularly ones related to my future major.
I've thought about trying to get involved with the Sierra Club. What I'm looking for is something that will help me learn more about the environment, as well as help me get scholarships for when I start at the university.
Would doing this help me get scholarships at all? And what else could I get involved in that would help me get scholarships?
OH and I wouldn't be joining JUST to get scholarships. I've really been wanting to get involved in an environmental club/organization/volunteer group, or something along those lines. Scholarships would just be an added bonus.
I'm just concerned that the Sierra Club might be full of a bunch of old people??? lol
Would this be a good group for me to join?
