I've learned golf for "a year" now. However, the most time I've been able to invest in golf was, and still is once a week or once every two weeks. My school's golf team is formally organizing amd going to start games in March, and most of the players who joined have played for at least two and a half years. Should I join, or should I quit (all the people who wanted to join had to sign up in September, beginning of the school year), and just practice more?
