LONG STORY... I am 20 years old, female, and I live in Gilbert, AZ (just outside Phoenix) I am interested in the medical field and have been all my life. This summer I am planning to take a class to get my CNA I am looking for something to get my foot in the door at a hospital. Although the bad side is there is at least a 2 year waiting list for all medical programs at all the community college. I have some college credits but not a lot.. you see there are pre-reqs that you need in order to apply for the programs.. then there are co-reqs. My adviser put me in all my co-reqs so I have most of those done.. (ENG, MATH, HUM.. etc) but I don't have the classes you need in order to apply to the programs. So I don't know what I should do.. and whats the better way around things. I don't want to continue staying in college.. then eventually i will be stuck on awaiting list. I feel like my life is on hold in the meantime. Please HELP me with this decision.
Oh yes and I have gone to talk to a army recruiter.. they gave me all the information I need. But I was looking at maybe the USCG...?
The career fields I was looking into was X-Ray Tech, Nurse, something on the lines of medical.. while using technology.
Any advice or tips will help.. about college.. or the CG. PLEASE & THANKS! :]
